The Lit Bug Fest Season 6 is here!
The theme for the year is Art in Literature, and I’m delighted to be part of it yet again. This time, I’m bringing poetry to the festival with my fantasy novel in verse, Uncontrollable. What is a novel in verse? What is free verse? Explore poetry with me, and write poems of your own as I take you to Kallua, the capital of the Powered World.
Using two excerpts from Uncontrollable as mentor texts, we will write a pair of poems, exploring an emotion, or perhaps something fantastical.
The Lit Bug Fest is a daylong event during which you can attend workshops with performers, illustrators and authors. All the events, as well as material, are included in the day pass. Get your tickets here!
