Book Club (Ages 7 and 8) – June 2024
Registrations are now open for the June 2024 edition of my book club for ages 7 and 8!
For those who haven’t been part of it before, a little about it: I set up the book club in December 2020, and we’ve read over fifty books since then. Each edition is six weeks long, and I curate the four books we read during these six weeks, paying attention not just to content but also to what we can do with each book. The idea of reading together is to enjoy the process of reading and to build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking.
Over the course of six weeks in June and July 2024, we will be reading Ostrich Girl (Lesley D. Biswas), A Giant Leap (Thomas Scotto), Ottoline Goes to School (Chris Riddell), and Lucky, It’s Summer! (Nalini Sorensen). Click on the book titles for outlines of what we will do as we read.

Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:15 pm
Age-group: 7 and 8 years
Early Bird Fee: ₹4,200
Fee: ₹4,500 (books will be shipped anywhere in India if you register before 28 May)
Buddy Fee: ₹4,000 (per head for two or more participants; includes the books if you register from India)
As this is a yearlong programme, you can also register for more than one edition at a time. Contact me to find out the details of the fee.
