The Second Person Short Story

We all know how to write in first person and in third person. What about second person? How many second person narratives have you read, and how many have you written?

Develop the art of writing a short story using second person POV. There will be a mix of fun reading and writing exercises. Bring your hats of imagination along!

About the Facilitator

Michelle D’costa is the author of the poetry chapbook Gulf (Yavanika Press, 2021). Her debut novel is forthcoming from Westland (Tranquebar). Her fiction and poetry have appeared in Litro, Eclectica, Out Of Print, and other journals. She is an alumna of the Seagull School of Publishing, & the Kolam Writers’ Workshop. She is currently working on her second novel at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She loves to edit books, mentor writers and interview authors.

This workshop is a guest session at my online creative writing programme. It is free for those who are currently part of my writing programmes, but open to non-participants on payment of a fee.
