My book is available at Venus Traders, Pune, amongst other stores. I saw it there myself! There were three copies, and a dear friend bought one. Now there are two!
My publishers updated their site, and my book is on it! http://www.leadstartcorp.com/new-category-icon/the-story-catcher/
I signed books for girls at my old school.
My father went to Crossword, Alwarpet, Chennai, and discovered that they used to have five books in the store, all of which have now been sold!
One of my colleagues wants to read parts of my book out in class.
Each of these thrills me; I can’t stop grinning. My book was published last April, but I’m still thrilled. And then, someone comes along and deflates that happy balloon of mine and asks, “Aren’t you writing anything else?”
What can I say? I feel like saying, “I’m happy, don’t you realise?” But then I think people will think I’m satisfied. And then I think that they will think that this is the best of my ability. And then I think they will think they should buy the book simply to be nice to me.
And then I think that all those thoughts are robbing me of happiness that is very real. And I put my foot down and say, “I’m happy. So there.”
